One Day Slow Living & Ayurveda
with Julia Blohberger

Saturday November 30th 2024

Understand your own constitution and learn to integrate it into your daily life.

Join Julia Blohberger for this One Day in-depth exploration of Ayurveda. On this autumn day you will slow down, unwind and learn to adapt your lifestyle to support you in the best way possible.

Ayurveda is a holistic health care system that literally translates into “the knowledge of life”. It evolved thousands of years ago and is still relevant in our daily lives. The ultimate goal of Ayurveda is to create harmony between the body, mind and spirit.

Ayurveda views every individual as a unique expression of nature and because of this each person has a different path towards their optimal health and happiness. Through the understanding of our individual needs we nurture and cultivate health and beauty from within and experience the healing effects of Ayurveda. Yoga and Ayurveda are sister sciences and when combined create the ultimate holistic healing. As a science of self-healing, Ayurveda encompasses diet and nutrition combining lifestyle, exercise, relaxation, meditation, breathing exercises and medical herbs.

Julia will introduce you to the basics of Ayurveda and the three primary Doshas (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha), the five elements (Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth); the 20 Gunas (within us as well as their opposite qualities). You’ll also be given lifestyle and nutrition recommendations for the Doshas according to the season.

Ayurveda states that ‘like increases like’ and that ‘opposite balance’. With the understanding of your own constitution and the qualities which are currently expressing it will be easy to maintain balance or to re-gain balance into your life.

About Julia

Julia was first introduced to Ayurveda during her Yoga Teacher Training in 2013. Ever since she has been drawn to the holistic system in which body, mind and soul are integrated to create a balanced life. She is a passionate and spirited yogi, who uses the wisdom of Ayurveda in her yoga classes teaching Yin, Vinyasa Flow, Ayurveda and Ashtanga Yoga. She is a full time teacher and tries to integrate softness and strength to balance yin and yang.

Julia sees Yoga as a mirror that continuously shows her different sides of her Self over and over again proving that everything is constantly changing. With teaching she hopes to help her students to connect with self-love and contentment through a deeper knowledge of their body and mind”
