This One Day Retreat is all about slowing down and stepping into your creative power. We are all born creators, but along the way we get so focussed on achieving our goals and ‘being productive’ that we forget about the pleasure of creating something for no other reason than the joy of it. On this day we will get our hands dirty and clay our own (cacao)cup.
The aim of this day is to re-connect with a sense of purposeless fun. To do that, we will relax and unwind through meditation, sharing and a balancing and slow yoga practice. Then we will work with with the grounding and earthy qualities of clay to make our own cacao cup in a mindful way that promotes focussing on the process instead of the result. We will end the day by allowing all the experiences of the day to settle in with a deeply restorative yoga Nidra session.
You are welcome to bring your cup home with you. Note that the cup will not be baked, so if you want to actually use it as a cacao/tea/coffee cup you will need to bake and glaze it yourself.
Of course seeing as the emphasis of the workshop is on purposeless creating, you can also bring your cup back as a little token to remind you to enjoy the process.
For those of you who would like to witness the fruits of their labour anyway, we also offer a third option. For an additional fee we can bake and glaze your cup for you in a neutral sand-tone and you can come to pick it up at Larissa’s atelier a few weeks later.

As a visual artist, I am interested in topics related to human behavior; consciousness, minimalistic lifestyle and sustainability. I observe what happens in daily life and transform that into my own reality which results in pottery, still lifes, or photography.
Travelling is my passion and big part of my work. Then I discover new rituals and cultures which differentiate from my Western point of view. It’s ‘The paint to my canvas’.
I also facilitate women circles and teach yoga Nidra, a form of yoga that helped me to recover from an accident. With this retreat I want to marry my passion for art and creating with my love for yoga and sharing circles.
14 years ago, I first stepped on a mat and it has become my home ever since. I have a curious mind, a love for exploring new worlds and a deep desire to make positive impact. This led me to take over One Day Retreats in 2024.
In 2020 I got certified to share my love for yoga. In the past years I’ve been teaching strong Vinyasa flows, restorative Yin yoga classes in my private practice and at Studio Bondi and Inner Embassy. In 2021 I founded Flow Home Retreats and began facilitating holistic retreats in Tuscany. After discovering the healing power of the breath, I completing my breathwork teacher training in 2023 and started hosting breathwork circles and retreats.
As a freelancer and retreat business owner, I sometimes find myself getting overly focussed on my goals. What really helps me to enjoy the process more, is working with my hands. Larissa introduced me to the wondrous world of clay and pottery and I love it! When I clay, I forget about time and space. It calms me down. During this retreat we hope to share some of that magic with you.
